Armstrong Baptist Worship Services
Giving glory to God is central in the worship services at Armstrong Baptist Church. We take seriously that Jesus made it clear that “whosoever will may come” to Him. From the eldest to the youngest, we try to accommodate all so that all may hear the invitation of Jesus and respond.
- The Music
Time tested, God honoring hymns form the backbone of our worship music. A choir open to all leads the congregation in this time of worship. Special music of many varieties is also featured in each Sunday morning worship service
- The Children
Since Jesus made it clear that we are to “let the children come to me and hinder them not,” we make sure that we are not too grown up to take time out in our service for the children. Children sit with parents or sponsors during the first part of the service to learn what church is and how to conduct themselves in church. Then we have a special time just for them. The children’s sermon is a time where we not only try to share a Biblical message, but also take the time to listen to what is going on in the children’s life. Sometimes more is learned, than is taught. Maybe that is why Jesus said, “the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” After the children’s sermon the youngest (Kindergarten age and younger) go downstairs to have their own special time. I’m not sure, but I think they get to play some. Let’s see, what age do you have be to down there?
- The Offering
A time is set aside for the worship of the Lord as a return a portion of all that He has given to us through giving of tithes and offerings.
- The Teaching
God is lifted up in a time of teaching as the Pastor shares truth from God’s holy word.
- The Invitation
A time is committed for public response as God’s Spirit leads in the body.
